About DVMBA

Welcome to the Diamond Valley Multiple Birth Association website. Being the parents (or expectant parents) of multiples can be an exciting, exhausting, challenging and thrilling journey. Meeting others in the same situation provides the reassurance that you are not alone in your experiences. Apart from the emotional benefits of communicating with other multiple birth families, the Club offers practical support and an opportunity for the fathers, siblings and extended family to get involved.

The Diamond Valley Multiple Birth Association was founded in 1972 by a mother of twins who advertised in the local paper for other mothers who felt the need for companionship and to share their experiences of raising twins. From those eight initial mums with twins the club has expanded to include triplets, quads and more, and now offers a playgroup, monthly newsletter, antenatal evenings, social events and much more. Our Club is affiliated with the Australian Multiple Birth Association (AMBA) and is run by a dedicated group of volunteers while raising their multiples.

Our Aims

  • To provide information, practical assistance and support for multiple birth families.
  • To increase the awareness of the special needs of multiple birth families and improve the resources available to them.
  • To be a non-profit, non-political and non-sectarian organisation cooperating with other organisations with related interests.
